Loudoun County sheriff’s spokesperson Leah Paul said detectives have been able to speak with Mia Bieniemy at the hospital.
A representative for the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office, which represents Elijah Bieniemy, has not yet provided comment.
Elijah Bieniemy’s next court date is scheduled for August 31, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
