Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment against an Israeli soldier accused of maintaining contact with an individual alleged to be an Iranian intelligence operative, according to a joint statement issued by Israeli authorities.
Israeli authorities said the investigation found that the accused had been in contact with a person who identified himself as an Iranian intelligence operative.
Investigators further alleged that the soldier was asked to help recruit another member of the Israeli military to establish contact with the same network.
Earlier this month, an Israeli military court sentenced another soldier to five years in prison after convicting him of charges including contacting a foreign agent and providing information to the enemy.
Israeli authorities said the soldier transferred videos to individuals they identified as foreign agents in exchange for payment during the June conflict.
