Hot and humid conditions will continue across West Alabama, though heat index values are expected to be just under advisory criteria; a moderate heat risk will continue across our area.
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, heat indices will range between 100 and 105 today, Thursday, July 30.
“This level of heat affects most individuals sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.”
When the Heat Index Exceeds 99°FEven without a Heat Advisory in effect, conditions across West Alabama will remain hot and humid.
Below is the expected timeline of when ‘feels-like’ temperatures are forecast to reach 99 °F or higher, according to Time and Date Weather.
