The Watauga Association of Genealogists will meet at the Johnson City Public Library and online via Zoom on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker Cheryl Christensen Bennett will present a program on Broylesville, Historic Mills and Dendroarchaeology. Bennett has been a serious genealogist for more than 20 years and has written 12 history books for her family. She is currently working on a revised, expanded edition of The Broyles, Bashor & Bennett Mill, Broylesville, Tennessee: A History of the Mill, the People and the Town. She is a professional photographer, lover of architecture and a lifelong volunteer.
