Applications will be accepted during August for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a federally funded program that helps low-income households with their home energy bills. The LIHEAP assistance amount ranges from $174 to $750, dependent on household energy burden. LIHEAP assists low-income households, primarily those who pay a high proportion of household income on home energy, in meeting their immediate energy needs. The LIHEAP Outreach Vehicle will be throughout the region helping those needing assistance.
