A new Pew Research Center survey finds that 77% of U.S. adults support banning middle and high school students from using cellphones during class. Only 18% now oppose classroom bans. For the first time, more Americans support than oppose preventing cellphone use for the entire school day. About half of U.S. adults (48%) back “bell-to-bell” school cellphone bans for middle and high school students, up from 36% in 2024.
