OpenAI is making two of its GPT-5.6 models more affordable today, and the benefits extend beyond API customers.
Here’s the new pricing for API customers:$2 per million input tokens and $12 per million output tokens for Terra$0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens for LunaBut what if you’re just a ChatGPT Work or Codex user?
While OpenAI’s monthly subscription prices remain the same, the company says it’s also adjusting token usage for Terra and Luna models today as well.
“These lower prices for Luna and Terra are also reflected in how usage is counted against paid subscriptions when using Codex and ChatGPT Work,” OpenAI says.
In other words, you can now use GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna for more tasks before hitting limits.
