LinkedIn has quietly introduced a new “Seems like AI Slop” button that lets users report low-effort AI-generated posts… which have been plaguing the professional network for a while now. I’m seeing this new “Seems like AI Slop” button myself when I click the ellipsis on any post in my LinkedIn feed. Besides rolling out this new AI slop reporting button, it looks like LinkedIn has also removed its AI-powered writing tool, which used to appear right in the platform’s Compose box. We’ll be introducing new tooling to help improve post writing in the near future,” a support page reads. However, to complement the company’s automated tools for identifying AI slop, LinkedIn users can now report these posts themselves and hopefully see less low-quality content in their feeds.
