['Emily Santiago-Molina']
Orange County Business Journal
Boot Barn Holdings Inc. reported net sales of $594 million, jumping 18% from a year ago and beating analysts’ expectations of $583.72 million.
The Q1 increase was driven by same store sales growth of 4.7% for the period ended June 28 and “incremental sales from new stores,” the Irvine-based retailer said.
Boot Barn opened 27 new stores during the quarter, reaching 566 locations in total.
Though Boot Barn warned of “moderate” fiscal July sales, the company upgraded its annual forecast to sales ranging from $2.58 billion to $2.63 billion, up 14% to 16%.
During regular trading, they declined 4.9% to $150.89 and a $4.6 billion market cap (NYSE: BOOT).
