The Ocean City Fishing Club will host Open House events from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, and Thursday, Aug. 13, at the pier at 14th Street and the Boardwalk. During these Open House events, the community can tour the 635-foot-long landmark pier and support the Ocean City Food Cupboard with nonperishable food or donations. "We're grateful for the incredible generosity shown by our community each year," said Augie Conte III, president of the Ocean City Fishing Club, in a statement shared with the Patch. We hope the community will once again support the Food Cupboard with food and monetary donations." Club members will greet visitors, answer questions, and share information about the pier's history, tying the events to Ocean City Family Night on the Boardwalk.
