A new report from the Philadelphia Police Department is shedding light on a disturbing vehicle theft trend in the city. Police told NBC10 Philadelphia that Hondas are the most targeted brand for theft so far in 2026 in Philadelphia. Of the more than 8,124 vehicles stolen in Philadelphia so far this year as of Tuesday, July 28, nearly one-quarter of these vehicles were Honda models. During the week of July 20, police discovered several dismantled Honda vehicles dumped in Philadelphia's Fairhill neighborhood. When contacted by NBC10, the automaker issued the following statement about the vehicle thefts: "Vehicle theft is a complex issue affecting many automakers and is not unique to Honda.
