The DeKalb County Regional Planning Commission will have a public hearing Monday, September 14 at the courthouse for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the creation of a zoning resolution and zoning mapThe public hearing will begin at 6:00 PM in the downstairs courtroom. Tommy Lee is Director of the Upper Cumberland Development District, who serves as UCDD staff planner and advisor to DeKalb County. I was just want to reiterate again that this public hearing is the initial public hearing for this process. I would just encourage the citizens if they have a thought or questions about zoning, come out and express that. Up until last month the county commission had been divided on this issue.
