Suspect in 30-minute Tokyo crime spree flashes peace signTOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two men accused of going on a rapid-fire theft spree, with one suspect brazenly flashing a peace sign at cameras, reports Fuji News Network (July 29). According to police, the pair’s spree took place in May 2026. The two men first broke into a training gym in Minato Ward, where they stole a personal computer. Investigators believe the duo carried out a total of four separate thefts within a span of just 30 minutes. Police suspect Iwai was previously involved in approximately 100 car burglaries in the Osaka area, and investigators are currently probing his connection to those outstanding crimes.
