The Rockhound complex is expected to be fully operational with 2GW of solar and energy storage capacity by 2029. “This milestone underscores Origis Energy’s ability to consistently execute at scale,” said Vikas Anand, CEO of Origis. Origis said it is currently marketing the next 1GW of solar and energy storage capacity for “data centre co-location opportunities and long-term corporate offtake structures”. The company has 21 projects either in development, construction or operations, with a combined 2183MW of nameplate solar PV capacity and 750MW of energy storage capacity. Last month, Origis raised US$900 million to support the development of more than 5GW of projects in the late stages of development.
