A failed Good Samaritan who took hold of a knife and brandished it after intervening in a Dundee street assault has been fined £420. Fiscal depute Rebecca Davies told Dundee Sheriff Court: “They observed the accused producing a small knife and brandishing it.” The 40-year-old serial offender was hauled back to Dundee Sheriff Court to admit breaching the order over repeated failures to attend. Sheriff Nigel Cooke ordered Ingram to perform 225 hours of unpaid work and made him subject to 12 months of social work supervision. But the court was told Ingram was “verbally aggressive and hostile” and his behaviour was described as “confrontational”.
