The Levittown School District has expanded its special education leadership team for the 2026-27 school year with the appointment of an assistant superintendent for special education and administration, a director of special education and two assistant directors of special education.
The Board of Education appointed Joseph Sapienza as assistant superintendent for special education and administration.
Robert Mueller was appointed director of special education after serving as the district’s assistant director of special education since November 2023.
She most recently served as acting chairperson for special education at Levittown Memorial Education Center, where she worked with students and families transitioning from the Committee on Preschool Special Education to the Committee on Special Education.
Her previous roles with the organization included director of special education and English as a New Language, learning specialist and founding teacher.
