The PCC Cooks Program at all PCC Community Markets, including the Edmonds location, will be shutting down permanently. I have been a part of this program for almost 16 years, and it is heartbreaking for me that this program is being eliminated. Culinary education has been an important part of PCC’s identity for decades, and I know how much this program meant to our community. Despite those efforts, the reality remained the same: the full cost of delivering the program, including facilities, equipment, technology, and other operational expenses, consistently exceeded the revenue generated from classroom attendance. I loved working as part of the PCC Cooks team for this program.
