A woman was killed Wednesday evening after the vehicle she was driving left Interstate 70, hit a guide rail and overturned, according to the Westmoreland County coroner. Margaret Usak, 83, of the state of California, was driving east on the highway in South Huntingdon around 8 p.m. when the Kia Soul she was driving left the road near mile marker 51. She was taken to Independence Health Frick Hospital where the coroner said she died as a result of blunt force injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was taken to an Allegheny County hospital for treatment. State police had not released any information about the crash.
