The Buena Vista (BV) Board of Trustees approved support for the project to improve the Cottonwood Lake dam and spillway. Currently, BV has between 2 AF and 10 AF of storage in the lake depending on the kind of water year. BV can only store project water in the lake as things stand. BV trustees approved a letter of support expressing intent to prioritize funding for the project in 2024. Colorado River Engineering Project Engineer Chris Manera reviewed the bids with UAWCD and BV town staff and recommended moving forward with Moltz.
