QUETTA: The bodies of six laborers from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) who were abducted by armed men earlier this week were recovered from a remote area of Nasirabad in Balochistan’s Kech district, police said on Thursday.
All of the victims were employed on development projects in Balochistan, the sources added.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the killings, describing the attack as an act of “extreme brutality” against innocent laborers.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, militants belonging to the banned group referred to as Khawarij attacked the Khazina Banda check post with heavy weapons.
Following the assault, additional police forces were dispatched under the command of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) City to assist the personnel stationed at the check post.
