(Marshall News Messenger File Photo)The city of Waskom has scheduled a Back-to-School Bash for Waskom ISD students from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Waskom Taylor Park. The event, held in partnership with Waskom ISD, will offer free haircuts, school supplies, food and more. The bash will kick off with a ribbon-cutting event for a new splash pad feature at the park honoring siblings and Waskom ISD students Isaac and Hector Pedraza, who died in a December home fire. “Since school supplies will be supplied, the city of Waskom will be passing out backpacks to Waskom ISD students and lunch boxes to elementary-age children, first-come first-serve.”
