A DUNDEE man’s suspicious behaviour at the NorthLink ferry terminal in Lerwick led to his arrest for possessing class A and B drugs. Anthony Holmes, 54, admitted being in possession of cocaine and cannabis at the Holmsgarth terminal on 5 September last year after arriving in Shetland for work. His behaviour on arrival and seeing the Dogs Against Drugs team “gave police reasonable grounds to search him”, which they did. Holmes offered up to police that he was carrying both cocaine and cannabis, and he gave them an explanation that it was for personal use – which was accepted. Sheriff Philip Mann fined Holmes £1,000.
