OXFORD – Ole Miss has filed breach of contract lawsuits against former football players Devin Harper and Princewill Umanmielen, the university announced Tuesday night.
Harper and Umanmielen, who both transferred to LSU, had previously signed NIL agreements to stay at Ole Miss.
Ole Miss claims it sent both players requests for payment but did not receive responses and later set 30-day deadlines for both to pay.
Ole Miss also claims it reached out to LSU for payment on each player’s behalf.
According to the statement, LSU “denied payment stating they are not a party to the contract” on March 18 before Ole Miss ultimately filed lawsuits this week.
