WEST POINT – The 2026 softball season for Oak Hill Academy started off Tuesday with a rout as the Raiders took advantage of some walks and hit batters doled out by visiting Carroll Academy for a 14-1 victory in four innings. Oak Hill went on to plate four more runs in the third inning and five in the fourth to help start the season undefeated, taking advantage of Carroll Academy’s seven errors, four walks and seven hit batters. “She had a really good game,” Jernigan said. She had a really good game.” Oak Hill is bereft of seniors, but is returning a handful of players who have seen a good bit of varsity action already.
