Sevier County, Tenn.–A UH-60 Blackhawk crew from Knoxville’s 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion transported a severely injured visitor from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. In coordination with the National Park Service, the Blackhawk flew to Sevier County and landed at the park’s Sugarland Visitor Center parking lot to receive the patient from the Gatlinburg Fire Department Emergency Medical Services.
