The Bradford Van was launched in 1946 by Jowett Cars Ltd of Idle and proudly named after the city where it was made.
In 1942, Gerald Palmer, a young ambitious chief designer was appointed and in 1944, the first prototype Jowett Javelin Saloon took to the road.
