According to the latest STEAM report, tourism in the Bradford district generated £1.08 billion in 2025, marking the first time it has surpassed the £1 billion mark.
Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Economy, Regeneration and Planning, Cllr Andrew Judson, said: "Breaking the £1 billion mark for the first time is a landmark moment for the Bradford district.
The figures are seen as an early indicator of the economic impact of the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture programme, ahead of its full independent evaluation.
The 2025 STEAM report revealed that 10.6 million day trips generated £719 million, while 3.79 million staying visitor days contributed £362 million.
This increase coincided with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture's partnership with Airbnb as its official accommodation provider.
