The rail operator replaced its existing Trainline-backed system with a new ticketing platform, but commuters quickly reported problems with resetting passwords, downloading the new app and searching for journeys. Complaints also emerged from passengers who said railcards and payment details were not transferring across, while others said stations and train services were not appearing properly in searches. ScotRail said customers who were having issues should continue using the old app until midday while technical teams worked to fix the problems. A ScotRail spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for the delay to anyone switching their ScotRail app today. “We are working with our technical teams to clear this as quickly as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience.”
