AN Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that a public inquiry into the Creeslough tragedy can be facilitated if other investigations do not provide adequate answers. The relatives of those who were killed and injured in an explosion on October 7, 2022, have campaigned for a full public inquiry into the tragedy. The Taoiseach also told families that a decision from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is expected at the end of next month. A file was sent to the DPP in September 2025, while a supplementary file was submitted by investigating gardaí.
