Years after its implementation, Prop 12 remains a hot-button issue, becoming a debate during farm bill discussions. The language was written specifically to reverse Prop 12, and another animal housing law: Question 3 from Massachusetts. Supporters of the SOB Act argue that legislation like Prop 12 have caused grocery prices to skyrocket. However, disagreements on legislation such as the SOB Act could potentially delay a new farm bill.
