If you’ve been making money selling old stuff on Facebook Marketplace, then Seller, a new app from Meta, is for you. As with Storykit, Seller looks like another experimental avenue for the company to flex its artificial intelligence muscles. Well, Seller will include a new hub for folks who sell products on Facebook Marketplace. A dedicated sales inbox, inventory management, and performance data are also included in the new, dedicated Marketplace app. Either the app will take off and repopulate Facebook Marketplace with folks selling cheap China-made products, or it’ll very quietly join Meta’s ‘failed ideas’ graveyard of stuff that could have worked.
