In The Hundred, teams are allowed to field a maximum of four overseas players during a match.
Teams are not permitted to have more than four overseas players contracted to their squad at any time.
When Tye replaced Adam Hose in the Spirit's squad, it was as a domestic player and not overseas.
Amir holds a British passport as his wife is a UK citizen, so he therefore qualifies as a domestic player.
As he holds a British passport, he too qualifies as a domestic player, and so the team did not require the use of an overseas spot.
