Two top officials are off the job in Stoughton, Massachusetts, after the town's select board chose to place both the town manager and police chief on paid administrative leave.
Amid an ongoing employment dispute, the Stoughton Select Board has put Chief Donna McNamara and Town Manager Thomas Calter on administrative leave with pay.
“Whatever investigation goes forward, Chief McNamara intends to comply with fully.
While Calter is on leave, Assistant Town Manager Marc Tisdelle, an engineer, will run the town.
"I do want to be transparent and communicate with the public that there is an acting town manager in place now and that has happened and that is me," said Tisdelle.
