U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody questioned Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing, pressing the former public health official on the federal government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the committee hearing, Moody criticized federal public health recommendations and defended Florida’s state-level policies during the outbreak.
Before her appointment to the Senate, Moody served as Florida’s Attorney General, where she took an active legal role opposing several federal mandates and supporting state reopening efforts.
