The Camping and Caravanning Club has pulled together advice on everything from saving a few pounds to getting a decent night’s sleep.
Rob Ganley, editor-in-chief of Camping and Caravanning magazine, recommends practising putting up your tent in the garden before you go.
He also urges campers to pack light, suggesting a large backpack or folding trolley with all-terrain wheels.
Club technical manager Ian Hewlett warns festival-goers to check campsite rules carefully before travelling.
To save money, the club suggests simple meal prep at home, and suggests taking items such as tinned fruit, pre-cooked pasta and slices of home-made pizza.
