As travellers prepare to depart, airport management are reminding passengers to arrive two to three hours before their scheduled flight and to be mindful of what they pack in their hold luggage. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is also urging passengers to "pack right for a safe flight," especially as incidents involving lithium batteries continue to rise. Thanks to last year’s installation of state-of-the-art security equipment, all departing passengers from Liverpool can now leave liquids and large electronics such as laptops and tablets inside their hand luggage. Many holidaymakers are expected to head to Mediterranean hotspots, with flights to destinations such as Alicante, Palma, Malaga, Faro, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Barcelona, and Dalaman among the most popular. High passenger volumes are also anticipated on services to Dublin and Belfast.
