Instead, Political Capital argues that Magyar has become the dominant figure in Hungarian politics, with government communication largely revolving around his personal appearances and messaging. “For the time being, Péter Magyar’s biggest political opponent is Péter Magyar,” the report states, arguing that his constant visibility, occasional mistakes and highly active communication could eventually reduce his political appeal. “There is plenty to wear away,” the prime minister wrote, before adding in another comment that “polishing is not aimless wearing away.”
