WRAS said the gull was helped after a caller left a message on its rescue line, which relies on answerphone messages when lines are busy. WRAS said: "One lady left us a message during the peak of our incredibly busy summer season. Over recent weeks, rescuers have been called to gull chicks across the county. Whenever it is safe and appropriate, WRAS aims to return the birds to a suitable rooftop or nearby safe location so their parents can continue caring for them. In urban settings, gull chicks are at greater risk of ending up in unsafe areas like roads, car parks and gardens, rather than on natural cliff ledges.
