The Colonnade toilets on Brighton's seafront were shut due to structural issues but have now reopened for use. Councillor Tim Rowkins, cabinet member for net zero and environmental services, said: "We know how important public toilets are for residents, businesses and visitors, particularly along the seafront during the summer months. "I’m pleased that we’ve been able to reopen the Colonnade toilets and provide these facilities in such a prime visitor location once again." Cllr Rowkins said: "While the toilets are now open, there is still further work to do. "They are in an ageing building, and we need to address longer-term structural issues and complete additional improvement works so that the site can provide the high-quality, accessible facilities people expect."
