The outline application, for land at Turnpike Farm on The Broyle, Broyle Side, near Ringmer, has been given the nod by Lewes District Council planning officers ahead of a meeting on August 5.

A spokesman for the parish council said: "This proposal is the largest single outline planning application in Ringmer in recent years, yet provides no meaningful community benefit or infrastructure.
If approved, the development would join a cluster of housing schemes recently permitted or under construction in the Ringmer area.
These include 70 homes on land south of The Broyle and 53 on land between The Broyle and Round House Road.
