(CBS 58) — A 58-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation into allegations of child sexual assault spanning several decades. According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, detectives began investigating Trevor G. Stratton on April 21 after receiving multiple allegations of child sexual assault. Following the investigation, the sheriff's office referred the case to the Racine County District Attorney's Office with recommendations for multiple criminal charges. The Racine County Sheriff's Office says investigators received an allegation that Stratton may have abused someone associated with the ministry, but the sheriff's office said that allegation has not been substantiated. "Cases involving the sexual abuse of children are among the most disturbing investigations our detectives undertake," Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said.
