Bewdley Town Council has confirmed that Severn Way has been closed today (Thursday, July 30) due to a burst water main. According to the town council, during the closure, no vehicle will be able to travel along Severn Way for a distance of 40 metres from its junction with Waterloo Road. The road closure provision is in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, Bewdley Town Council expects the road to reopen on Saturday (August 1). A Bewdley Town Council spokesperson said: "There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. "No vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U10523 Waterloo Road for a distance of 40 metres in a westerly direction.
