M5 lorry crash in Somerset leaves man in hospital and sparks huge delays

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said the incident was reported at 7.51pm yesterday (Wednesday, July 29).
Police confirmed that a lorry travelling on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between junctions 21 (Weston-super-Mare) and 20 (Clevedon) had collided with the central reservation before leaving the southbound carriageway.
Police confirmed no other vehicle was involved and no serious injuries were reported, but a man was taken to hospital.
