(Batesville, IN) – Jacob Butzin, a music educator with extensive choral leadership experience, will relocate to the area from Mississippi to serve as Choir Director for both Batesville High School (BHS) and Batesville Middle School. He began his teaching career in 2023 as Director of Show Choirs at Brandon Middle School in that same state. While completing his bachelor’s degree at Miami, he spent three years as Assistant Director of Show Choir with the Ross Local School District, working with Ross Middle School’s Next Generation and Ross High School’s Legacy. “He comes to us with middle school and high school choral experience. He is excited to return closer to home and build upon the amazing accomplishments already achieved by our choral music department via the Indiana State School Music Association’s (ISSMA) competitions.”
