Microsoft Confirms Plan for Copilot ‘Super App’ Merging Its AI Tools
['About Our Expert']

Copilot is accessible in most Windows software, but Microsoft wants to bring its disparate AI tools together into one, easy-to-use "super app," says Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
The new Copilot service will launch this quarter, according to Nadella, who called it a "major step forward" for Microsoft's AI.
OpenAI recently unveiled its own "super app," called ChatGPT Work, while Anthropic's Claude Cowork works similarly, combining more advanced tools with its chatbot.
This comes as some Windows users have pushed back on the AI creep in Windows; Microsoft even removed Copilot from some less useful locations in Windows 11 in April.
It's unclear whether these figures also refer to users who interact with Copilot AI in those tools, such as for meeting recaps or drafting emails.
