Andhra Pradesh launches RBSK 2.0 to provide health screening for over 62 lakh childrenRampachodavaram: State Health Department on Thursday launched the state-level Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) 2.0 at the Musurumilli Tribal Ashram High School in Rampachodavaram of Polavaram district.
Health checkups for 62.65 lakh childrenThe initiative aims to conduct comprehensive health screening for 62.65 lakh children across the state.
The number includes 20.95 lakh children below six years enrolled in Anganwadi centres and 41.70 lakh students aged between 6 and 18 years studying in government and government-aided schools.
Under RBSK 2.0, health teams will screen children for 38 categories of health conditions, including birth defects, diseases, nutritional deficiencies, developmental delays and disabilities.
Vision screening for 43.30 lakh studentsThe minister also announced a large-scale vision screening drive targeting 43.30 lakh students across Andhra Pradesh.
