Quarterback Patrick Mahomes participated in 11-on-11 drills for the first time since tearing his ACL. Mahomes took three snaps as part of the 11-on-11 period in what was ultimately an abbreviated practice, but he also logged a handful of notable plays during the earlier 7-on-7 portion. Specifically, Mahomes found tight end Jared Wiley for a big gain up the seam early in the session. Rookie quarterback Garrett Nussmeier recorded a pair of impressive throws. It was a great all-around play by Nussmeier, who later tallied a no-look completion to tight end Tre Watson over the middle during 7-on-7 drills.
