Driving restrictions to affect Oldham town centre for up to 18 months
['James Mcneill']
The Oldham Times | Oldham news
Oldham Council is implementing the restrictions as part of the Accessible Oldham project, which aims to improve the Market Place area.
The closure affects parts of Lord Street, Church Lane, and High Street, and will be in effect from August 10 for up to 18 months.
The council has also announced changes to traffic flow in the area.
The existing one-way traffic restriction on Church Terrace will be reversed, allowing vehicles to travel in a south-westerly direction only.
Meanwhile, the one-way traffic restriction on Church Street will be revoked, permitting two-way traffic.
