Jaipur: A shocking incident at a private hospital in Jaipur has triggered a police investigation after a 28-year-old man allegedly strangled his newborn daughter inside the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The incident took place on Tuesday at a private hospital falling under the Chandwaji police station limits. During the investigation, officers found that the father allegedly took the baby out of the NICU on the pretext of feeding her. Investigators suspect he strangled the newborn before returning her to the ward and sitting beside her without raising any suspicion. During the preliminary investigation, police found that the accused was allegedly upset over the birth of his third daughter.
