AMD Restricts Radeon RX 9050 4GB to OEM System Builders

AMD has confirmed that a 4GB version of the Radeon RX 9050 exists, resolving uncertainty created by early partner listings.
Unlike the 8GB retail-oriented model, the 4GB configuration is intended for OEM systems rather than broad standalone graphics-card sales.
The 4GB version retains the RX 9050’s 16 Compute Units and 1,024 Stream Processors but reduces the memory interface from 128-bit to 64-bit.
Once the 4GB framebuffer is exhausted, additional traffic over PCI Express may further reduce performance and produce stuttering.
Modern AAA games increasingly specify more than 4GB of graphics memory, even at moderate quality settings.
